Amoret BriarRose

I’ve been involved in the Reclaiming Tradition for 17 years, teaching and facilitating workshops, ritual and skillshares to share knowledge and foster the growth of leaders. As an initiate and teacher in the Reclaiming and Feri traditions, I engage with mystery alongside community and within myself.

Pittsburgh is my home: although I am not a native, I like to think that I have naturalized. I am a Northern Appalachian witch, and my bioregion has spurred me to explore the world of American Folk magic. As an animist, I honor the wisdom of my locality and the living breadth of our plant and animal communities, listening for the sacred in words, woods, song and silence.

As a witch, I gather messages from tarot cards, runes, and also from the sounds of tree roots stretching and the drumming of heartbeats. A dedicant to Freyja and Odin, I work with Norse oracular practices.

Above all, I am a synergist. What is the unique, vital and necessary gift that you bring to the moment at hand, and how might we utilize our gifts together to create lasting change?

Copper Persephone

I am so excited to be returning to CAWC and my beloved Redwoods after a number of years away. I have been a practicing witch: doing ritual, performance and community organizing / activist / social work with people who live with oppression and in poverty for over 25 years. Dedicated to Freya and initiated into Reclaiming, the Honey Bees and the Bear clan as well as Queer Spirit – those roots and conversations inform my daily life, which led me to move from California where I lived for over 20 years, on Pomo,Coast Miwok, Wappo and Olohne land to Minneapolis where I now live on Dakota, Ojibwe and Anishinabeg land.

I walk a spiritual path devoted to erotic and ecstatic communion with spirit in all of its faces and forms and am called to helping others to experience immanence through many roads including western queer tantric practice and shamanic journey work through facilitating workshops. First teaching Reclaiming classes in 2001, and then at Witchcamps starting in 2003, I also am devoted to service and organizing work and have been a long time organizer at Witchlets family camp and Winter Witchcamp as well as community ritual planning and teaching.

This year I am teaching Witching the Resistance: Right and Left Handed Magic for Our Times with Heidi Belili Marian.

Heidi Belili Marian

I am a wild hearted magic maker and community priestess living in San Francisco, originally Ohlone and Coast Miwok land. By day I work to protect free flowing waters and wetlands, and by night I teach, organize rituals and collaborate to weave community rooted in anti oppressive witchcraft. My craft training comes from Anderson Feri and Reclaiming and is informed by the magic of my ancestors who come from three continents. My heart's passion lies in the merging of the right and left hand path of magic, in doing the deep down rooted work of turning the tides, of living a life of commitment in a complex and perilous world. When I attended by first Reclaiming class and witnessed the magic unifying spirit and activism, I knew I had found my magical home. California Witchcamp has been a place of deep transformation for me, I can't wait to make beautiful and wild magic with you all.

I am a lover of magik and ecstasy and prefer the path of instinct to the path of intellect. I am willing to allow things to fail for the sake of experimentation, most often when I trust things work out. I make friends with the Runes, fox, green bloods, earth and fire. I have learned that I am at my best when I am also on the path of discipline.

I am looking forward to working the magik at camp, over the years a big piece of that magik is the WE as community, brave, trusting, strong, joyous, stretching. We change the world with how we live our life, may we be a holy sacred spell.

This year I am teaching Elements of Magic: Answering Aradia's Call with Miria.

Ravyn Stanfield

I am a cultural alchemist, writing to transform the heartbreak of our times and reveal the gold in what seems worthless. I am the author of Revolution of the Spirit: Awaken the Healer, a guide to liberate the healing super powers within each of us. I am the executive director of Acupuncturists Without Borders, a non-profit that provides disaster relief and exchange programs with traditional indigenous healers. I design trainings for emerging leaders and ritual artists in the US, Canada, Europe, Asia and Australia. I teach at various conferences and festivals, including EDGE, Symbiosis, Bioneers, Lightning in a Bottle, Oregon Eclipse and Reclaiming Witchcamps all over the world. I practice acupuncture in Portland, Oregon with a focus on transformation and resilience.

I love to create modern ritual art, combining music, poetry and performance to make contemporary offerings of our human imagination. I use my background in trauma recovery, neurobiology, psychology, writing and theatre to coax more of the extraordinary into the world through the cracks in Western civilization. www.gerriravynstanfield.com or her Facebook page

Miria

Once, in a dream, my grandmother’s statue of the Black Madonna fell and shattered at my feet. In deep despair, I bent to sweep up the shards as I cried my heart out. A crone (who just happened to be gathering herbs outside my bedroom window…dream, remember?) came into my room and asked why I was crying. I said, “The Mother, She is broken. She can never be put back together”. The crone admonished me, saying that the Mother is not so easily broken. Rather, She had gifted me with Her seeds and it was my task to plant them in fertile soil, where they could take root and grow in new and true ways. At the time I had no idea of what lay ahead or how I would fulfill this sacred task, for came late to the Craft, finding it at 30. That was 22 years ago and it felt like coming home. It changed my life and I have never looked back.

Now, I am witch, artist and business entrepreneur – and in my wacky and wonderful life there are really no lines separating those worlds. In my business I do a lot of what I call “stealth-priestessing” as I bring my gemstone talismans to communities across the state of California. It is deep magic when a person admits shyly, out-loud, that the stone is calling to them. Witnessing that moment is one of my very favorite things! As an artist, I am devoted to channeling the Divine Mother into form – and flooding the patriarchal overculture with diverse images of the Sacred Feminine. I carry these images, too, into many diverse communities and have been deeply blessed to watch Her healing work begin when someone resonates with my art. A door opens and a new journey begins. And another seed is planted.

I am initiated in both the Reclaiming and Feri traditions. I have a Master's Degree in Adult Transformational Learning, am a certified teacher of Intentional Creativity and a Reiki Master Teacher. Most important, I am devoted to the Goddess, to helping open doors and create pathways for people to find Her, and am hopelessly in love with this incredible planet we live on and with the potential for brilliance and beauty that lives in the heart of humanity.

Seraphina

I am a plant witch and 3rd generation healer passionate about wild earth magic and witching our world awake through ancestral healing, social justice and sacred sexuality. I spent 8 years in an intensive Toltec apprenticeship that radically shifted the way I see reality helping facilitate a pathway towards a more awakened way of living. Combining magic and social justice together are my jam. One of my greatest joys in life is exploring unknown territory with other witchy folk through wild singing, drumming, trance, and radical acts of shifting consciousness through community healing. I live on unceded indigenous territory of the WSANEC and Quw'ut'sun Nations on a small island in the Salish Sea in Canada.

I practice herbal medicine and homeopathy in a clinic that I share with three other amazing practitioners, and I teach herbal medicine and magic internationally.

California Witchcamp has been one of my spiritual homes since 2004. I look forward to returning to this remarkable land to explore the power of magic and healing in community with you!

I make my home north of San Francisco amongst the rolling hills of Marin County. My herstory with Reclaiming goes back to 1991 when I took my first Elements class. I was invited to student teach in the community in 1993. Since then I’ve done most everything from schlepping to bookkeeping to ritual planning, teaching, founding cells, and general rabble rousing. I am regularly awed and grateful to have received so many opportunities from this community. My life is richer for having walked this path.

This year I am teaching The Oracle of the Witches: Scrying in the Dark with Ravyn Stanfield.

As a long-time witch in the Reclaiming Tradition, I like to work with the more subtle threads of community-weaving, both in priestessing in my community of Los Angeles and in interlacing magic into the tapestry of the over-culture. In Los Angeles, I have been crafting magic through co-creation of public rituals, sacred temple administration, and teaching Reclaiming classes for several years. In broader California, I have priestessed and taught in the Bay Area and at California Witchcamp. I have always enjoyed exploring myriad aspects of magic in both settings, including community spell work and the decoding ancient stories. In all my magic, I seek to mediate the gaps between what was, what is, and what could be through co-created, ecstatic ritual, transformative trance work, and a deep connection to the divine. I am guided by deities ranging from Iberia to Sumeria and use magic and deed to rebuild that ancient, amorphous connection humanity had with ourselves and our world — for in that connection we can all reclaim our birthright.

This year I am teaching Conjurations and Incantations - Embodied Spells for Healing and Justice with Suzanne Sterling.
